Wednesday, 5 August 2015

I am in severe need of a new zip-up hoodie, but I struggle to find any that I like! I'm not a big fan of plain dark hoodies, and would much prefer something more interesting and colourful. So I wandered onto the internet (as per usual) and had a look for some weird and wonderful hoodies, and let's just say I was not disappointed...

3. Sailor Moon Hoodie: £118.62
4. Fluttershy Hoodie: £131.80
5. Fluffy Eevie Hoodie: £46.13
6. Charizard Hoodie: £65.90
8. Toothless Hoodie: £112.03

Let me know below, which of these are your favourite!

Primark Haul #2!

Sunday, 23 June 2013

Today I was lucky enough to get my deposit back from my house at university, and seeing as me and mum were heading into Reading, I thought I might as well treat myself in Primark. I know how much I love reading every one else's haul posts, so I thought I would do another one!

I'm really loving the whole American/Varsity style t-shirt trend that has been going on, I've been staring at clothes like the ones pictured here for a long time and I couldn't help myself, I had to finally grab some.

My mum found this really cute tank top in the reduced section, it was only £3! I love Lady Gaga, and the slogan was just so brilliant.

I knew before I even got to Reading that one of my goals was to get a couple more shirts for work, and I ended up with these two beauties.

Obviously I love the one that is blue and has hearts on, with blue being my favourite colour. The yellow one is so beautiful and simple though, I've really been going mad for the colour yellow at the minute and I knew I HAD to get a top like this for work. It will make me feel all bright and happy this summer when I'm stuck in the office (I hope).

Some more work clothes on my list were cardigans, I currently have a black and a grey one, so I thought it was about time I put some colour into my cardigan choices.

I couldn't resist getting a blue one, someone seriously needs to stop me buying blue clothes, they are literally my weakness. The mint green striped one was too cute, and I couldn't help myself.

You may be surprised to hear that I don't really wear skirt, I mostly were dresses and jeans, however I've been lusting after skirts for a while now, so I took the plunge and bought a couple, we'll see if they actually see the light of day.

The pattern on this skirt was so beautiful that I had to get a close up for you:

I'm obsessed with skater skirts at the minute, and also denim, so this was the perfect skirt for me, and it looks beautiful on! I'm hoping that these two will help me break out of this weird anti-skirt relationship that I seem to have gotten into with clothes.

Of course it wouldn't be a Primark trip for me if I didn't buy a dress.

The camera really didn't do the colour of this justice so I attempted to get a close up of this too!

I love this print so much, and the colour is just divine! I was actually surprised that this was the only dress I bought, I normally come out of Primark with at least 3!

Finally, the accessories! I actually bought shoes this time, which I normally refused to do in Primark. These teal pretties were only £3, and I'm sure I'll be wearing them a lot this summer!

I fell in love with these beauties and knew I had to have them! I'm a fan of this kind of sole on shoes, but I'm not a fan of the full blown 'creeper' trend, so these are the perfect compromise for me!

Another trend I am obsessed with right now is the whole American flag thing that seems to be going on. I almost bought a denim jacket with an American flag pattern on the shoulders, but I restrained myself and just got the bag.

Finally as I was queuing I came across this water bottle. I drink a lot of water at work and I've just been using empty coke bottles that I had floating around, but I thought I might as well get something a little more interesting and permanent. Plus it has owls on it, and we all know how they are my weakness...

So there you have it, I've been very naughty in Primark today! I hope you've enjoyed having a little nosey into what I bought today! I hope you are having a good day where ever you are.

Wishlist Wednesday #2 and An Announcement!

Wednesday, 15 May 2013

So I want to kick off this weeks Wednesday Wishlist post with a bit of a sad announcement. After a lot of careful thought and consideration, I have decided to stop writing my Nail Blog: Rose Tint My Nails. Unfortunately I just have the time to write both my Nail Blog and my personal blog, so I had to make a tough decision. I just think that writing my personal blog gives me a lot more scope to talk about ALL the things I like, rather than being specified to one.

This in no way means that I am going to give up my obsession with Nail polish, and I wont stop painting my nails, and creating nail art, and I certainly won't stop buying polish, but I will just be posting it on this blog instead, and it won't be as often. I started Rose Tint My Nails back in November when I discovered my passion for nail polish and nail art, it grew to have 75 GFC followers, which was something I was very proud of. This was the first blog that I ever gained followers on and it was nice to know that there were people reading and appreciating my writing for the first time! I also met some wonderful people through various groups on Facebook, including the lovely Kerrie of Pish, Posh and Polish who has become one of my best blogging buddies! So although I won't be posting on Rose Tint My Nails anymore, I will still be posting my Nail Art here! So watch this space for a regular polish feature coming soon!

Now that's out of the way, on with the Wish List! Seeing as I had a job interview at an office this week, which I am going in for a trial on Friday! I have been looking into smart and fashionable blouses/shirts.
1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8

The top four blouses are all from New Look, and the bottom four are all from Matalan! I didn't mean to pick everything from just those two stores, oh well. Out of all the picks, the New Look ones are definitely my favourite of them all. One of the biggest problems I face when buying shirts and blouses is that it's hard to find one that fits me right. The main reason is that I have very thick arms, but a small waist, and big hips. So my strange shape and size doesn't fit the cut of shirts or the material that they are made from means that I have to buy them extra big and wear them baggy! Hopefully when I tone up a bit I wont have to worry about that anymore! Some of these may make there way into my wardrobe if I decide to take the office job I have been offered, if not, I won't have to worry about office clothing!

I'm so glad to be back and blogging, I've had a very busy few weeks, and I'm going through a massive change in my life right now, I expect it to be very difficult, and I'm sure my blog will suffer my busy schedule, but I'm hoping I'll come out of the other side of it!

Primark Haul #1!

Wednesday, 10 April 2013

So when I went home last week I went a little overboard in Primark. I hardly ever get to go to Primark anymore, so when I tend to buy literally EVERYTHING I want. I had picked up twice as much as what I actually came out with but some of it just didn't suit me when I tried it on! So here is what I ended up with:

The first things I snapped up were these dresses at only £5 each! I'll admit I first saw these two dresses on another blog and I knew I would HAVE to have them, after trying them on and confirming they flattered me I couldn't really say no. These two are perfect for summer, I especially love the rose print one (for obvious reasons).

The next two things I picked up were pretty practical. I've been in need of a normal length black cardigan for a LONG time. Currently I only own a black cut off one, so I saw this for £6 and grabbed it! I've also been in need of a long navy jumper, so picked one up as I walked past them! Then I kind of went mad for tops...

I saw this top as I was walking towards the cue, it was put in the wrong place and I picked it up and it was my size! It was fate. I had to have it. It's got this really cute print and then the spikes on the shoulder! Plus it is super comfy!

When I saw this one I had a little giggle at the slogan written on it. Me and my friends are forever putting on terrible French accents and shouting 'OUI OUI' at each other. So I knew I couldn't not buy this. In fact I showed this to my friend Ellie and she laughed so hard!

This top is kind of like the one above but with a spikey collar. I've been meaning to get into this whole spikes trend for a long time and I finally took the plunge!

I almost died when I saw this top. I absolutely LOVE dip dye, and skull prints are one of my favourites (even though I don't own any). Also I like the fact that this is pink, there isn't enough pink in my wardrobe!

So there you have it! there is what I bought at Primark! I was going to take pictures of myself in the clothing but I am unwell at the moment and as such I look and feel like death. Plus I didn't have anyone to take the pictures for me.

Let me know in the comments if you've snapped up any bargains at Primark recently! Or tell me what your favourite is out of all my buys!
