Ever since I first saw some of my favourite Youtuber beauty guru's using Makeup Geek eyeshadows I have wanted to try them out. For whatever reason it took me a really long time to get my hands on them, and the only reason I finally got them was because I won them on a raffle!

Choosing the shades that I wanted was really tough, I spent a long time looking at swatch photos and looking up blog posts about them, and even asking people on Facebook beauty groups which shades to get. To say I got a little bit obsessive about picking nine colours of eyeshadow would be an understatement. Anyway I am babbling now, I'm sure you are dying to know the shades I picked, so let's get to the swatches!

I did decide to go with mainly matte shades because I wanted to go for shade that would give me some good base colours, and every day looks. However I couldn't resist going for a couple of shimmer shades in a silvery colour (Shimma Shimma) and also a gold colour (Gold Digger). Beaches and Cream was one of the first shades I picked as it makes the perfect transition shade for paler people a.k.a me. Bitten was another shade that was very high on my list, a deep red/brown colour perfect for outer corner, whilst at the same time being something a little bit different from you usual dark brown/black shade.

Overall I am very happy with the choices I made, the shadows are really pigmented and blend together really well, I can't wait to incorporate these into my daily makeup routine! Do you own any Makeup Geek eyeshadows? Let me know in the comments what shades you would recommend?
