A few weeks ago I wrote an Avon Haul post, where I mentioned that I have recently fallen back in love with the brand after a long time away. One of the first products I picked up in my very first order was the Pore Penetrating Black Mineral mask. I was looking for a face mask which I could use weekly to help remove the excess oils from my skin, so I was hoping that this would do the trick...

They recommend that you apply a thin layer all over your face, avoiding the eye area and mouth area (as you do with most face masks). Then you simply wait for the mask to dry, which can take anything from about 10-15 minutes, the mask will harden and then dry a pale grey colour.

Once the mask is dry you are able to see these little dots all over your face which are the oils that are drawn from your pores, so the majority of my dots are around my nose and chin, because these are my oiliest areas. The darker black areas you can see in the picture above are dry, those are just areas where I applied the mask a little bit too thickly. So once your mask is dry all you have to do is wash off the mask, and the nasty oils with it.

The first few times that I used this mask I couldn't believe the amount of oil it drew from my pores, but also I couldn't stop touching my face after rinsing it off. This masks makes your skin feel so soft, something that I rarely get to feel as my face is normally covered in oil!

I have been using this mask once a week in the morning, and I have definitely begun to notice an improvement in my skin. I get much less blemishes than I used to, and my skin takes a lot longer to get oily. This mask has easily become my absolute favourite product from Avon, and I can see myself repurchasing it again and again. If you've seen my haul post then you will know that I have already purchased a back up of this. Looking on the website you can pick the mask up for £3 at the moment (Regular Price £5), which I think is really reasonable. You get a decent amount of product in the bottle, I'm not even half way through one bottle yet and I've probably done 6 applications so far, with this mask a little bit goes a long way.

If like me you have oily skin then this mask is a must because you can instantly see the results on your skin, and for the price point you really can't go wrong!

Have you used the Avon Black Mineral Mask, What did you think of it?
