Friday Favourites #19

Friday, 8 January 2016

This week the internet has brought me a lot of joy, and a lot of funny and cute videos, so of course I just have to share them with all of you!

This video has been everywhere in internetland this week, and if you haven't seen this video, where have you been! This little Raccoon was so happy to be given candyfloss, that didn't last very long though. Watch the video to find out why! Another story was released later in the week to show that the raccoon did get his sweet in the end, so all is well in the world.

Another video making the rounds this week showed what is probably the sorest loser ever to grace Come Dine With Me, Peter Marsh. I don't want to give away too much but you can watch the video here.

Buzzfeed reminded us all of this hilarious Tumblr screenshot, including one of the best Harry Potter related Youtube comments ever... If you don't understand this then you are such a muggle!

Today I came across this heart-warming video about a blind pug who has found his perfect home with a county judge. This little guy is seriously cute and I am so happy for him, he clearly adores his new owner. Watch the video all about him here.

The final video I share with you has to be my favourite thing I have ever seen come out of American Reality TV... This clip is from Lip Sync Battle, and it shows Channing Tatum's wife Jenna Dewan Tatum lip syncing as Channing from Magic Mike XXL... Her moves are ridiculously good, and you everyone is in fits of giggles... I can't watch this without laughing...

So that's what I have enjoyed on the internet this week, what's been your favourite?

Friday Favourites #18

Friday, 4 September 2015

Happy Friday everyone! I hope your week has been good, and that you are all excited for the weekend ahead... It's that time again when I share with you funny things that I have found on the internet this week that have just made me ROFLMAO...

You can always rely on The Lad Bible for some internet related hilarity, and this week they asked people to sum up their first sexual experiences using GIFs... You can check out the full article here, and trust me there are some pretty good ones, although the final one is probably my personal favourite...

Before I go to bed, I always check my Vine in the hopes that I can have one final giggle before I drift off to the land of nod. This week I came across the above vine and I swear to god, I was laughing so hard I was crying, and I couldn't get to sleep for an hour because every time I closed my eyes all I saw was the sloth...

Tom Fletcher from supergroup McBusted has done it again this week and officially melted the hearts of the entire internet! I don't want to spoil the video just in case you haven't seen it, but let's just say I hope I'm this awesome when I become a parent...

So Summer has finally come to an end... and Autumn approaches, and when it gets to this time of year, I know there is only one thing on my mind... Thomas Sanders (my favourite Viner of all time) summed up my feelings pretty well. Took the words right out of my mouth!

The top picture is my teeth now and the picture below is my teeth last week, you can see the orange mark on the right tooth at the front. I couldn't find a better picture...

My final Friday Favourite may be cheating... because it doesn't come from the internet, it comes from me! Yesterday I went to the dentist for the first time in four years (I know...) because I'm a little concerned about one of my Wisdom teeth which is currently coming in sideways... Here's where a little bit of back story needs to come in...

My child dentist filled in the shape of my front teeth when I was a teen, and a week later I had this weird orange stain on my front tooth that has been there ever since. It may sound stupid but that one tiny mark made me feel like the rest of my teeth look disgusting. Especially after the years and years of dental treatment and braces that I went through it was heartbreaking!

So I was sitting in the chair waiting for my X-rays to come back when I happened to mention the mark to the dentist, so suggested we try and buff it off. I was happy to let her try thinking that there was no way in hell that mark was going without the 'filling' being removed and redone. Anyway five minutes later she hands me the mirror, and I have a look and it is GONE. My initial response was literally, 'You are kidding me...', I felt myself tear up right away.

Now I know that sounds stupid, because it's just one little mark at the end of the day, but that has been one of my biggest insecurities for a long time, and now it is gone and I feel like I can smile again without having my teeth judged!

Friday Favourites #17

Friday, 14 August 2015

Welcome back to Friday Favourites, where I share with you some of my favourite things from the internet this week!

The Great British Bake Off has returned, and with it come many a meme, but this is one that came up on my Facebook feed that seriously made me giggle. Anyone else want to give this drinking game a go? Well I would, except I don't drink anymore...

The UK's first crisp sandwich shop has arrived, and UNILAD shared this video on their Facebook page giving the shop an introduction. I can't say I'm that big a fan of crisp sandwiches, how about you?

This lecturer has to be the coolest in the world, right? I wish my university lecturers had been awesome enough to give a lecture like this, it certainly would have made me sit up and listen rather than fall asleep...

How did I never even know that rats were really intelligent? I mean I know they were cute little fuzzies, but just look at how clever these guys are, easily as clever as a dog!

You may recognise this guy from Vine, his name is Ben, and for some reason he often pranks his brother, and nothing could be more hilarious than his brother's reactions! In this video Ben manages to superglue his brothers hair gel and hilarity ensues!

If like me you are a huge Disney fan then at some point or another you may have asked yourself what you favourite Disney Princess' look like without makeup. Well wonder no more! Buzzfeed has the answer, and you can check out this article to see more, my personal favourite without makeup iis Snow White!

Friday Favourites #16

Friday, 31 July 2015

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have had a splendid working week, mine has been rather chilled by all accounts, and as such I have stumbled across some internet beauties that I decided I simply must share!

Sometimes Tumblr delivers a one liner that is so brilliant that it could make you snort milk out of your nostrils... Not that I've ever done that!

Someone posted a brilliant photoset on Facebook of what it would be like if video game situations were in real life... This one in particular made me chuckle!

This video of a man playing with his cat went viral on Facebook this week! It's just too cute... I've never seen a cat play like that before, have you?

This is one girls application to work on an interpreter programme in Austin... She saw what she wanted and she went for it, this is honestly one of the best things I have seen in a long time!

I love the idea of actors playing pranks on each other on set... This made me giggle so much!

I've never seen Parks and Recreation, but the more I see quotes from Chris Pratt's character the more I want to watch it!

Sometimes I really love Tumblr and the things that they come up with... This post made me laugh so hard, let me know in the comments whether you get it or not!

Ahhhhh lookalikes... there is literally nothing better than a good old case of mistaken identity...

Jenna Marbles did a video recently where her 'dogs' drew their lives... and it is honestly the funniest thing I have seen in a long time... You'll only get it if you are already a fan of her... If not it is still worth watching!

Ah Pokemon... There are only so many original thoughts they can have for new Pokemon right? Still I thought this was pretty funny...

I should just file this photo under reasons I love Russell Howard...

This week in the world of the internet, a cat got it's head stuck in a flip flop, and became an internet sensation! I dare you to watch this video and not laugh!!!

I don't think I have ever seen Cotton Candy game this strong... It looks amazing and delicious, and can I have some right now please?? Check out the video here.

This costume is seriously awesome, and if my friend made a costume like this I would want them to wear it 24/7... seriously...

This came up on my Facebook feed and seriously made me chuckle... plus who doesn't love a good snap of a pug?

How cute is this picture that I managed to snap of Maizey Moo when Tim and I walked her the other day? I couldn't believe that she actually came over and sat still for this picture, considering she was running in a field off of the lead... Normally she just ignores me! She's such a cutie, and I certainly miss giving her cuddles every day...

Tim and I were just minding our own business walking through town the other day when we were almost brutally attacked by a T-Rex!!! Only kidding, but it was pretty cool to come across this...

Let me know in the comments what your favourites are from this week...

How cute is this commission that somebody made on Tumblr? I was already seriously in love with the Chris Pratt and raptors relationship... but I love it even more now!

How cute is this t-shirt of the three original starter pokemon in Powerpuff girl style, by Let's Rage Clothing? I have a severe want for this!

If you remember watching 'The Suite Life of Zach and Cody' then you had an awesome childhood! When I saw this post I almost literally peed...

Agar.io is a cute little browser game that is seriously addictive. The aim of the game is to feed yourself and grow, and try and grow as big as you can! You can eat anything smaller than you, but have to try to not get eaten by anything bigger than you!

Let me know in the comments what your favourites are for this week...

Friday Favourites #12

Friday, 26 June 2015

Hello everyone, I hope that you have had a wonderful week, I know I have. My life is finally getting back on track, I am starting back at work next week, and I have been feeling a lot more myself! So here are the things that I have been enjoying this week...

Somebody recreated some of your favourite Disney Princesses as raptors, and the result is both hilarious, and actually really cute! Check out the rest of the Raptor Princesses here.

Watching Insidious Chapter 3 in the cinema has reignited my passion for watching horror films. Thankfully there are plenty of them that I have never seen, so I plan to try and watch at least one a week, so if anyone has any suggestions for any I need to watch then please let me know.

I have just started a new diet, and am missing some of my favourite things, including Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia, my absolute favourite ice cream. I always have some when I go to the cinema, well, I always USED to have some when I went to the cinema. I had a brainwave and decided to google a recipe. Thankfully Chocolate Covered Katie was my saviour and I found a recipe that is only 3 Weight Watchers points per serving!

Whilst I was at University I was introduced to a hilarious Australian TV Spoof Show called, Danger 5. I recently found out that the show is now on Netflix, so not only did I introduce Tim to the first season... but I got to see the second season for the first time myself.

Let me know what you have been enjoying this week!

Friday Favourites #11

Friday, 19 June 2015

Welcome back to Friday Favourites, it feels like it's been forever since I did one of these posts, but I'm finally trying to get my bum in gear and get back into some sort of blogging schedule so here I am!

I have found a new series on Youtube that I am absolutely in love with, Man vs. Pin! Each week the host, Rob, takes on a popular Pinterest pin and gives a go, ultimately testing whether it is real, or fake. My favourites include the crayon art, the lightbulb terrarium, and the glow cloud! You can check out the playlist here.

I am so in love with dark to light blue ombre hair, and I am currently contemplating whether or not to take the plunge and do this to my own hair... what do you think, should I do it?

My new blog banner, and button are so perfect and they were created by the super talented Carly who runs her own blog sharing her artwork and illustrations, so make sure to go and check her out.

I know Gossip Girl ended FOREVER ago, but I have been going back and watching it from the start, as I have seriously missed it, and I definitely have a Gossip Girl shaped hole in my life right now. Currently on season 3 so I am powering through, it's also gives you a completely new perspective on the old episodes when you actually know who Gossip Girl is!

Has anyone else been as amazingly excited about E3 as I have? There have been some epic announcements from the new Assassin's Creed being set in London, to the Microsoft hololens, and how it can be used in gaming. One of the games I am most excited for however is Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer! It's a completely new way to play in the Animal Crossing Universe, and we all know how obsessed I am with those games right?

Thanks to the new Meerkat Movies promotion (2 for 1 cinema tickets), Tim and I have been going to the cinema every week. This week we got to see one of my favourite actresses Melissa McCarthy in Spy. I already know that anything she is in is going to be hilarious, because I cannot contain my laughter when she is involved. However I did not expect Jason Statham to be as funny as he was. Seriously if you get a chance to see this movie, then go, you will not be disappointed.

Let me know in the comments what you have been enjoying this week!

Friday Favourites: Apps I am Loving

Friday, 10 April 2015

I love my iPhone 5S, it goes everywhere with me, and one thing I have learned this year is how much I can rely on my iPhone. Now a lot of this is down to the apps that I have installed on my phone, so today I thought I would share some of my most useful apps with you!

Any.do Cal is a user friendly calender app that can sync calenders from numerous email accounts and applications. You can create new events and include attendees from your contacts list, notes to remind you what the event is all about, and even a location so you can use maps to find your way there!

You can set numerous reminders about an event from a few weeks before, up to a few minutes before the event. You even get a notification every morning letting you know how many events you have on that day (even if you don't have any). In the settings you can chose from several themes for the background pictures including art, locations, and food, meaning you'll always have a pretty backdrop for your calender. It also runs really well with the next app I am going to talk about, making it even easier to organise your daily tasks!

Any.do is basically a simple and clean 'to-do' list app, in which you can create tasks for today, tomorrow, upcoming and someday.

The face that it is so simple makes it easier when trying to look at what tasks you have to do that day. There are no fancy pictures or colours to distract you from what you have to do. Even better is the fact that any tasks you have in this app will appear in the any.do Cal app which I mentioned above, meaning you can view them all in one place!

The Navitime Transit UK app has been my absolute saviour these last few months whilst I have been back and forth from London. This little app will help you plan a journey from start to finish, and will show you what changes you need to make, and even which platforms you need. This has honestly saved me several times. London Underground transport is hardly the most reliable and there were a few times trains were cancelled etc, and I would have been completely at a loss as to what to do without this app!

The best part about this app is it covers travel all over the UK, not just London travel! Meaning you can use it to help you plan any train journey you may be embarking on.

I first heard about Best Fiends from Pewdiepie, as he was doing some sort of campaign with them, but honestly I'm glad I heard about it, because it is so addictive! Unlike your usual 'Candy Crush' style game, instead of moving items to match them you make 'chains' and the longer the chain, the more points you get for it. Best all all you have these little buddies called fiends, and each one has their own unique powers that can help you, such as directional bombs.

You also get given missions on some levels such as defeating a certain number of slugs (your fiends' number one enemy), or getting a certain amount of one item. Honestly this game takes up a good chunk of my time whenever I am journeying somewhere, so if you are looking for a free app to curb your boredom then look no further!

Let me know in the comments if there are any apps you think I should try next!

Friday Favourites: What I got for my Birthday

Friday, 6 February 2015

This year, my birthday was a bit of a strange one to be honest, considering it was my 23rd birthday it was hardly a milestone or anything... Even so I still managed to get a good few gifts, and I thought I would share them with you.

This year Tim decided to go down the board game route, and bought me a few games that I have wanted for a long time. Last week was actually the first time that I had played Cards Against Humanity physically, when I was visiting my sister at uni, so I was pleased to see that Tim got it for me. This game is honestly hours of hilarious (and slightly insulting) fun. Small World was actually a board game that I came across at Uni when a friend of mine got it for her birthday. I guess it's kind of like risk, but with magical creatures and abilities! Tim and I have played this twice together so far, and I beat him both times, because that's just how badass I am...

The next gift was kind of a cheat... A few weeks ago I saw that Fall Out Boy tickets would be going on sale, and I knew my sister would want to go, so I asked her if she would buy my ticket for my present. She didn't buy the whole thing, but made a contribution, so now I will be seeing Fall Out Boy again in October (literally cannot wait).

My mum actually admitted that she reads my blog (so from now on I'll have to be extra careful with what I say right?), and she saw my Wishlist Wednesday post all about Ear Cuffs, so she picked me up a couple online. They are just as cool in real life as they look in the pictures, and I can't wait to get my hands on more. She also got me this awesome and cute Jack Russell ornament which is based off of the Harvey and Rabbit Thinkbox Ad, how cute is that? She did try to get me one that looked like my dog Maizey, but I think this one is just as awesome...

Finally onto my biggest and best present... I asked everyone for money this year, as I wanted to upgrade my EOS 1100D to a 700D. Originally I was just looking at getting the camera, but then I stumbled across this AMAZING bundle on Ebay, whereby I got all the gear featured in the above photo, plus the camera I wanted... It arrived yesterday and I swear I spent most of the evening drooling over all of my new and beautiful kit. It cost a little more than I had anticipated, so Tim covered me, and then when I sell my old 1100D I will be able to make up the difference. It was a deal I simply could not miss, and I cannot wait to start improving the quality of the photos for my blog, and also my Youtube videos!

I was royally spoilt this year, and I am honestly so thankful to all of my family for making it possible for me to get exactly what I wanted.

Friday Favourites: Games and Apps

Friday, 23 January 2015

This week I have been getting my hands on a few new games and apps, so I thought I would share with you some of my new favourites, in the hopes that you will enjoy them too!

Crossy Road is an app that I was actually introduced to by the Youtuber Amazing Phil, and the first I heard of it was that he had suggested a character to the makers, and they had put it in the game and let him voice it! Now I'm always game for an app where the developers have a sense of humour, and this app is certainly one of them. It's essentially like frogger, you try to cross as many lanes as you can, but there are a tonne of different character you can do it with. Some are unlocked through purchasing, and others you can win by spending your coins on them. This game is seriously addictive, and will have you desperately trying to beat your highscores, so only download this if you are ready to get sucked in!

Just before Christmas I made a bit of a mistake and purchased Tim a game on Steam, but he had actually wanted it on Playstation. Thankfully after explaining this to customer services they agreed to swap the game I bought for Steam credit, so then I only had to figure out what to spend that on. I went with Scribblenauts Unlimited. It's a quirky little game where you use a magic notebook to make objects appear in the world to help people. It's pretty funny as you can think outside the box a lot with these, and you can also download creations that people have made on Steam to grow your catalogue.

This is by no means a new game, but I have finally gotten my hands on a copy and I have loved every second that I have played of it so far. It really brings back great memories of playing Mario cart on my uncles N64, and I love it as much now as I did then. This version brings a few new cool features such as the hand gliders and water sections, making it all the more exciting! I really need to find some friends who have this game so that we can play together...

I have been looking for a game like Star Stable for SO long, and I can't believe that I have finally found it! It's basically an online RPG for girls that revolves around horses! There are quests and you can join riding clubs, and do races and competitions... honestly thinking about it makes me so excited, and I kick myself knowing it has been out there for so long... It is free to play up to level 4, but if you want to play it further you do require membership, which is called 'star rider'. As a Star Rider you get access to the whole online world, you get 100 Star coins a week (which is the in game currency), You get exclusive items, horses and abilities, and you can create your own riding club!

Membership ranges from £4.95 a month up to £49.90 for lifetime membership, which isn't actually that bad if you ask me. I'm currently playing it for free, and I haven't decided whether I'm going to take up a membership or not yet, but I probably will. If anyone else joins and wants to add me as a
