E.L.F Natural Palette: Look 1!

Saturday 16 March 2013

So the other week E.L.F had a 50% off offer and obviously I couldn't refuse! I've wanted a neutral palette for a long time and when I saw this was only £5 I knew I had to have it! I've actually had it for a few weeks but haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Today though I was really in the mood to have a play around with some makeup and this is what I came up with:

Here is what I used to create the look:

From Left to Right: E.L.F Eyeliner Brush, E.L.F Blending Brush, Eyeshadow Brush, Fluffy Blending Brush, Angled Eyeshadow Brush.

 1. Highlight, 2. All over Lid, 3. Center of Lid

 Used to create smokey wing

MUA Extreme Curl Mascara in Black/Brown, E.L.F Eyeliner and Shadow Stick in Black/Smoke

  • I started by taking the angled eyeshadow brush and the black colour and creating the shape that I wanted for the wing. Then I took a blending brush and blended it out!
  • Next I took the Eyeliner brush and the black eyeshadow and lined all along the upper lash line, and 2/3's of the way on the bottom lash line, making sure the line connected up with my wing.
  • Then I took and eyeshadow brush and the #2 eyeshadow and swept it all over the lid, being careful not to go over my black wing. Then taking my eyeliner brush again (after wiping off) I took the #2 and lined the remainder of my bottom lash line.
  • Next I took the #1 eyeshadow and used it all over the brow bone as a highlight.
  • Then I took the #3 eyeshadow and carefully patted a small amount into the center of my eyelid.
  • Then I went over the wing with the black shadow and just made sure it was all blended out.
  • Then I lined my waterline with the eyeliner part of the E.L.F Liner and Shadow stick.
  • Finishing the look off by curling my lashes and using MUA's Exteme Curl Mascara. (Which might just be my new favourite mascara)
That's basically it! I hope you enjoyed this little mini tutorial. Maybe next time I'll do step by step photo's to make it easier to follow. Let me know in the comments if that is something that you would be interested in me doing!

  2. This is deffo a dupe for the naked palette, and it's so cheap! I love your look, I have a feeling it'd look nice on me as I'm really pale and can't normally do smoky eyes because it looks like I've been punched! haha
